A fuzzy, rosette-based salvia that is well adapted for a shady position in the garden and isn't picky about soil so long as it drains well. Leaves are fuzzy and grey-green, while the flowers that develop along a 20" tall raceme are vivid-red. Great draw for hummingbirds. Root-hardy perennial native to the Edwards Plateau.
