White Autumn Sage

White-blooming variety of the popular S. greggii. Will tolerate many soil types from thin and chalky to deep and dense clay. Will do well in a part-sun location, but thrives in a full sun position with compost-amended soil, mulch, and deep irrigation 1x/week after the establishment season. Amenable to frequent tip-shearing, which keeps the plant from looking leggy, and promotes new blooms. Stems are very brittle, so plant it away from walking areas. Looks great en masse, paired with grasses such as Gulf Coast Muhly (M. capillaris), or create an ethereal, minty vibe by pairing with Wooly Stemodia (Stemodia tomentosa).
